Beauty and the Beast was in the Cork Opera House this year. I went to see the show on the last weekend evening show (Saturday)  My seat was fourth row and I did not realize how close I was to the stage which brilliant for 25 euro! Usually Cork pantos would have a bit of Irish banter and alot of Cork Slang like Alright Boi! Which is gas! Story Belle lives in Winterfell (Game of Throne joke!) her father goes to the science fair, gets lost gets found comical Chip (Declan Wolfe) when he comes onto stage he says Hello everybody we all had to say "Aright Chip Boi" Love it!  Basically the father gets taken hostage in the castle bythe beast, Belle comes to save him and exchanges to stay at the castle for the father go. Been Petite and Been Short Heighted

Image
Hey Blogger's Nation! Happy Friday! So I wanted to share how I feel being small and been petite for clothing as I have a fair strong opinion on this! Being Short I really really hate being short because I can't reach anything up on higher shelves, most of my friends are taller than me which is annoying for me. I haven't grown since second year and I'm in my first year of college! As I said I can't reach anything high, in work experience all the utensils are up high and if I need anything I have to keep asking someone to fetch one for me. When I sit down my feet don't actually reach the floor and I never was fast runner with my short legs! But the one main reason I really really hate being short is when someone looks down at you! I had this experience when I was out with friends for a drink and my friend was chatting with a very tall guy and he literally bent down to talk to me, I was very offended. (Advice ever do that please) I ...

The real meaning of Christmas

Image
Hey blogging Nation! So I wanted to share my meaning of Christmas to you all. I love to share Christmas with my family yes we may argue on Christmas day about the dinner like many others! On Christmas Day I go to mass, I know not many young people don't go to mass anymore because it isn't cool but Christmas mass is very special celebrating Jesus Christ birthday and lighting the advent wreath candles during the five weeks of December. I never ever forget the charities when I see people collecting on the streets in Cork. I'm always giving a few bob. And the the past two years I would go to mass, there be Christmas presents suggestions for someone in the community. unfortunately in our community we don't see the people suffering behind doors. On the stars they asked for stamps, T.V Licence, and food vouchers and it makes me realize we should help out with more people in our own country.  With St Vincent De Paul and Simon Community and Penny Dinners. What's ...

Christmas Gingerbread Cookies

Image
Hey Blogger Nation! So I'm now officially finished college for Christmas so I started baking during last weekend and I was practicing some baking with cookies and thanks to my wonderful mum she found a great cookie recipe from one of our books we have called Cakes for romantic occasions. Ingredients: 6oz butter 7oz caster sugar 2 large eggs 14oz plain flour 1tsp baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of ginger Method Pre heat oven for 180oC. Cream butter and  sugar until pale and creamy. Beat the eggs into the sugar/butter mixture. Sift the plain flour, baking powder and ginger into the mixture and mix on a low speed with mixer until dough forms. Cut half of the dough and cling film both and place into fridge for an hour, or if you don't have the time place it into the freezer for 10 minutes. Place one dough ball onto floured surface and roll out about 0.5cm thick Using whatever cutter you want to cut out cookie shapes and repeat again with the rest of th...
